Our day started out with Max at our house watching the weenie show. He comes and climbs up on the "magic bed" and eats crackers and pickles and watches cartoons most mornings. If you have every watched any of this show, the little jingle that goes along with it gets in your head and won't leave.
Today we have planned to go to the hot pools up in the mountains. It is quite a drive up there so we headed out about 10 am. They have actually fixed the road a lot so the drive is not as bumpy any more. We had Ken and Rhonda in our car and Jeff, Fany, Roxanne and Max were in there truck, followed by John and Lauren running tail gun. Its about and hour to do the 32 kms to there.
So for anyone with the "weenie" song in their heads, this sign we passed indicating the name of a little Pueblo, will get you singing a new song in your head. Yup, that's the name of the pueblo!!!
The hot tubs were amazing as usual. Its a great way to spend a few hours with friends. It was the perfect day for it because it was overcast and not that hot. The water for the tubs is taken direct from the mountain. I'm guessing around 100F.
Jeff checked for the smell of horse poo just in case!!! |
You ever wonder why the steak is a wee bit tough, these old Brama Bulls are pretty knarly lookin. I can only imagine meeting one of these on a dark road when you are dressed in red.
I headed downtown later to grab some supper. I had Melanesia de Pollo. Breaded fried chicken breast cut thin, with frijoles, papas fritas, rice, ensalada and tortilla's. A full meal deal for 110 pesos. That's like 8 bucks Cnd.
Home in time to head back down town for another bionico. I better watch it or I will be having a growing spurt!!! They are sooooo good.
