Archie sometimes takes up to one half hour to finish his walking. I swear he smells every thing that is on the beach and that is a lot of things. In the morning there have been lots of dogs walking along here and he knows every one by smell. And then some fish and other smelly things. He doesn't get a lot of exercise because he is always meandering.
The guys showed up again this morning to finish the palapas. They put up ladders today and crawled up and sat on top of the structure. We had wondered about them on top but the thing didn't even wiggle. They know how to build stuff good out of nothing down here. I marvel at it. The center post is only in the ground about 2 feet with no cement or anything around it.

I was getting mighty hungry and because Sue has been down with a cold for a few days, our cupboards were bare so I headed downtown to fill the void. The taco guy on the corner had some good birria tacos that did the trick.
I went over to Kenia's to check out the new menu she has for mornings. She is doing those healthy shakes and waffles in the morning's now. She was making up a new sign to attract more customers. It will be a slow start but I think she will do ok when people know about it.
And then it was haircut time. I had one scheduled for 11 am at Rocia's. She does a good job I think of turning a grumpy old man into a smiling old man!!! Lots of wear on that face!!
Fany and I had some chores to do downtown so we did those in the afternoon. First stop was the water refill station. They normally pickup and drop off our water, but I forgot to put out the bottles today, so we had to take them in the Jeep. No problem.
Then downtown for some supplies but first we had to take a boy to a candy store. This store is right full of candies and Max loved it. He had a hard time making up his mind.
We had been invited out to the Turkish restaurant by Blair and Joanne tonight but Sue was still sick so I went solo. I have never had Turkish food so wanted to try it. They had chicken stew as the special so that is what I had. It was very good. The others had donairs and shishkabobs. Everyone liked what they had and we all got our tummies full. Definitely worth a try for a different taste in dining.
