A quick Texas Storm

Well we are about 2 days short of 3 weeks without dumping our waste water tanks, but we have no choice but to dump today.  Our Grey water always fills up first and we always know we are full when our shower won't drain any more.  Magnolia Beach has showers and washrooms, but because of some abuse in past years, they no longer offer a dump station.  We have to go to Port Lavaca, which is just 10 miles down the road.  When we got back we decided to park in a different angle to allow for more room for our neighbours.  We will only be here a couple days anyway, and Brian and Gloria are ok with sharing a front yard.

It was a beautiful day with some overcast which kept the temperature down.  We sat outside and chatted for most of the afternoon.  There was some talk of a Nor-western coming in later in the day but for now it was fine.

All of a sudden without much warning there was a mighty gust of wind and the day went from calm and warm to windy and miserable.  No rain, just wind.

If you notice in the picture the sky is not cloudy but the wind hit like a ton of bricks.  There were a couple little boats out there that scurried for shore. As I was sitting in my office there was a work barge went by like nothing was happening.  I guess it takes a lot to worry them.

The winds carried on for the rest of the day so we settled in and watched TV for the rest of the evening.

The view from our window tonight as Brian hurries to gather things up in the wind.

Our Location tonight:  Magnolia Beach Texas.  Boondocking
