For some reason, the estuary decided to turn green with tiny leaves. I have never seen this before, however they tell me it is like this for most of the summer. I wonder if it gets to smelling. So far, it doesn't.
We are at the height of Semana Santa now, and this is what the beach looks like in Guayabitos. We just don't bother going there. Our beach has a few people, but is quite good.
After lunch we all loaded up and headed to PV to drop the kids off at the plane. They like to be early and I wanted to allow lots of time for me to get back before dark. Dani had to get some snuggles with Rudy before leaving.
The roads were not busy at all. I think everyone was at the beach. Every little town had lineups of buses parked waiting to transport everyone back to their hotels at the end of the day. I dropped Kenia off at Sams Club on the way to the airport so she could get her shopping done while I dropped off the kids. Even the airport was not that busy so we just stopped on the corner and they got out. Their plane is delayed a bit so they have a long wait in the airport. We had 6 people and all that luggage in the Jeep for the ride down.
When I got back to Sams, Kenia was just going through the till, so we loaded up the Jeep and headed for home.
Once again, the road was empty and we made jig time going home. We dumped off a bunch of stuff at the Cafecito and then took the rest to Kenia's casa.
The kids sent me various updates on their time at the airport. Sheri is suffering a burn on her forehead so I sent her a picture back of my beet red face. Ouch!!
It is Ken and Rhonda's last night here, so they invited us to supper at Mi Lugar up on the hill. It is the sunset watching restaurant in La Penita. Drew and Leena and Wade and Melissa were there as well. The sun did not co-operate but the company was spectacular.
We spent some time visiting when we all got back to the park and had more laughs. What a great bunch we have had at the park this year!! Archie went home to bed and Sue got a picture of him guarding the chips. Good Nite!
P.S. Sheri reported that they arrived in Regina at about 2 am Regina time.
I’m sure everyone was tired!
