Friends come for Supper

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

I'm going to give you a little more of a tour of our new yard.  We are amazed at how much cooler it is here with the breeze that comes off the ocean almost continually.   We are actually closer to the pool than we were at the last park, and we are certainly are closer to the ocean.  And there is lots of green grass for Charlie to walk on with his tender feet.

In behind our motorhome is a nice little private courtyard that we get to use.  In there is a banana tree that is close to having banana's ready to pick.  We hope it will be ready before we leave!!!  We will get Sergio to share some with us.

Banana tree

Bulb on the bottom was once a red flower. It is about the size of a coconut.
In the afternoon Harold invited me up to the RV park for a car show.  A car club from Guadalajara was stopping by to show off their cars on the way to PV.  There were about 100 cars made their way through the park.  Most of the cars were owned by Mexicans rather than Gringo's.  It was fun to go back in time.  Here some of them are.

They even had their own mascot!!

I took a little walk up to where we used to park for the last 4 months.  3 of us have moved out now so it looks kinda lonely up there.

Later in the afternoon we invited Pat and Harold over to watch the sunset and have supper with us. The sunset did not disappoint.  I don't think we will ever tire of this view.

We had a nice supper on the deck and played some Mexican Train afterwards.  Great evening once again.

Harold got stuck setting the table

Here was the view from our deck tonight.  Hope you enjoyed your view as well.

  2. Wonderful place to call home!! I can almost hear the waves. I'm glad you folks are enjoying the new spot. Great old cars, would love to have seen some of those. There is nothing quite like a line of old cars to make one nostalgic. Haha.
