Fixit day comes every once in a while around here.  Because some of my batteries are coming to the end of their life it seems like they are starting to leak a little bit around some of the posts.  That is ok except for the corrosion it causes.  So every once in a while I have to replace some battery cables.

I missed a chance a year ago to buy a hydraulic cable end crimper from Brian Boone in Florida, so today when I needed to crimp wires, I had to borrow a manual one from our neighbour Rudy.  Manual ones work ok but I still like how a hydraulic one finishes the job.

I have to do a little blurb on the big charity that the RV Park gets behind.  We have participated in some fundraising here in the park this year already.  I was downtown today getting some parts and saw this happening at the seniors center downtown.

For three days each February at the Cancer de Mama Clinic in La Penita Mexico, over 125 dedicated volunteers provide silicone breast prosthetics, lymphedema care, prosthetic bras, and additional support to post-mastectomy Mexican women.  As funds allow they also offer a Survivor Program to help offset the costs of cancer treatments and related expenses for breast cancer survivors.

Another of my projects was to fix the garbage can door.  If you remember the other day Charlie ripped the door off while we were out and he was left behind.  I put a little strap on the front so now he has something to pull on when he feels the need to raid it.  Sometimes instead of preventing some disaster you just have to go with it and do damage control.  A second advantage is that now if your hands are full you can open the garbage with your toe.  Win Win they call it!!

George has been putting his Jeep under his awning every time there is a chance of rain lately.  When it under the awning they have no place to sit.   Well we have our gazebo sitting there in a box doing nothing so I said we should make him a garage to weather the rain showers that are forecast for the next few days.  Well it fits just perfect!!!  Glad to help out a friend!!!

We had a pretty good day today.  Our little friend Oscar spent some time with us today because his aunt was working at the restaurant again today.  He is such a cutie!!  I get to watch cartoons with him and because they are in Spanish I get to watch the English subtitles!!   Hope you got to spend some time with people you enjoy today!
