Kenia's New Business

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

Wednesday night after I had posted we got in the Jeep and went to check out Kenia's new business.  She has always wanted to do a "Better than Starbucks" sort of little bar so she has set one up outside her Casa.  Tonight was opening night and we got together with Pat and Harold and George and Henny and went down to try out what she had.  The name she has chosen is Mini Pops Kenia.  I have no idea of the significance of the name but we will go with it.  She has set up a couple tables right outside her house and put up some pretty lights and a menu and off we go.

She got busy and took all our orders and set to work and with the help of Oscar who was the waiter for the night we soon had some tasty treats.

One of her specialties is waffles with all sorts of fruit and toppings.  Pat and Harold shared one of those.

Joe from the park had joined us as well and all the rest of us had Frappes or Smoothies.  All of them were delicious.  I imagine we will be back for more a few times more this winter.

Good luck on your new venture Kenia!!

Thursday we took a walk downtown to the market.  We needed absolutely nothing and that is exactly what we ended up with.  We went with Tim and Michelle and stopped for a nice little breakfast before doing the market place.  Most of the reason we go downtown is for the walk on the beach.  It is so much fun walking in the sand.

The guys were inspecting and folding up their nets ready for another day.

And the fish store on the beach was busy preparing the fish for sale.  They will filet it, descale it or whatever you want, right there in front of you and you can buy enough for supper for two people for around 50 pesos.

Because there is lots of net fishing right out in front of town right now, there are all kinds of weird things washing up on shore that have been either processed on the boat or thrown overboard for the sea creatures to feast on.  Some things, even the pelicans don't like.  Here are some of them.

That was pretty much our day.  I saw this little verse thingy and just have to share it with you.  It seems our world is in a tumultuous time but there are some values in life that we should hold on to.   Hope it inspires you just a wee bit!
