NEXT DESTINATION? Guadalajara, Mexico April 1, 2020
Sometimes we have to poke ourselves to see if all of this is real or only a dream. We have to realize that we are not really on a vacation, but rather we are living in Mexico for a few months. We have the opportunity to just sit on the beach and watch a lot of interesting things like our fisherman friends. Today they were doing a little net fishing right out in front of me. The first part is making the plan. They stand around their little boat for a while and then pack a net in a tub. All the time they are passing a joint around. I guess they figure they may as well be smiling while they fish.
Then one guy swims out pushing the tub while a guy on the beach holds on to the rope. As the guy swims the net slowly is pulled out into the water and he keeps going in a semi circle until he is back on shore again farther down the beach.
Then they just pull the net in from both ends and hope to catch something. Not this time. They got skunked.
They took their tub back to their boat and went home. They will be back Manana I'm sure.
After supper we went for a little walk downtown just for some excercise. Not much happening in town tonight it seems. Not much happening at our house either. Thats a good thing sometimes.
I could certainly do that. Just laze on the beach with a book and watch some entertainment. :) I never noticed your 'like' button before!
