A Sad Day for Kenia

Today was a sad day for our Mexican daughter Kenia.  Just after lunch she got the news that her good friend had been in an accident and passed away.  The accident happened in La Penita and Kenia unfortunately viewed the accident site.  She is broken today and the reality of the suddenness of life changing events brought back a flood of memories for me.  We are supporting her by being here for her, but she has to deal with this with the friends and community she has grown up in.  Joaquin taught Zoomba in town for a few years and Kenia was one of his loyal students.  Our prayers are with Kenia and the family and friends of Joaquin.

We didn't do much else this afternoon except play a game of Wizard with Normand, Suzanne, and Howard.  I think I won even!!!

I did run into Kenia this evening down by her Cafecito.  She was sitting with one of her friends dealing with their grief.   The Cafecito will be closed for a couple days as she processes this.   Good Nite!!
