A Couple Butterfly Pictures

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

There was not much happening in our lives today.  Susan had a tummy bug, which is normal because some of the things we eat on the streets need a strong stomach to deal with them.  We lfind that the longer we are here, the more forgiving our bodies are to things that may be off a wee bit.  And I was a bit draggy today as well.  I think the word lazy may be more appropriate.  You know how if you sit in one place for long enough, you don't feel like moving except to have a nap.  Well that was me today.

I was wondering what to write about today and was searching through my pictures from La Penita this year and these ones stuck out for some reason.  I have a niece, Michelle, and she is a lover of butterflies!  For some reason they came up and I just thought I might brighten Michelle's day with them.

This one is from a parade downtown.  The northern migration of the Monarch butterfly happens in March and the Mexican people like to celebrate them.

On our way home in a couple weeks we will cross one of the migratory routes for the Monarch.  Maybe we will get to see some if we are lucky.  Thats all I have today!!  More about the parade tomorrow.  Goodnight!!

  1. It is nice to have those 'lazy' days, I hope Susan feels better today. :)
