We spent most of the day in Bismark shopping in places like Scheels, Kohls, Target, Costco.
We took Percy as our limo and I loved it cause I could just lay and watch TV while the shopping took place.
I did manage to go into Costco and grab a hot dog and a drink for $1.50. They are not that good but they fill the hole in the stomach.
We headed north on 83 about 6 pm and passed by the Garrison Dam and then the coal fired electric plants north of there. Notice all the black smoke the coal fire creates!!! Not a bit of black, only steam coming out of that stack. The are probably creating electricity to charge up the electric cars!!
The ice was just about gone off the lake at the dam. Just a little corner left, however it reminded us of what we have missed this winter.
We arrived in Minot at about 8 pm and will clean out our fridge and cupboards in preparation for the border crossing tomorrow. We also have to make sure our paper work is all in order for importing Percy into Canada. The papers were all filed by our broker more than 72 hours in advance so I think our part is done. This will be a new experience for us so we have our fingers crossed. So for now, Good Nite!!!
Wishing you a smooth and easy crossing!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the crossing tomorrow. I'm sure things are well prepared.
