Today is project day. If you remember we were having trouble getting our power hooked back up. Hydro made us do an inspection which involved re checking the shack for deficiencies. Our last inspection was only 2 years ago. Well the inspector didn't like that I had some lights plugged in with extension cords out on the deck so he wanted them moved. Then I had an armoured wire running on the exterior of the building which is a no no. So now we have to get these things fixed and send him a picture before he will order the guy to come and reinstate our power. Its all just a money grab as far as I can see. Oh well lets just do it.
An extension used to plug in our 12v open sign had to go |
A construction light used last fall for lighting up the deck had to go. |
I had to work a quick Dr appointment in this morning just to keep him up to speed with all the other medical things going on in my life. If I tell my Dr about any wee problem I might be having he immediately sends me to a specialist. Well I told him I sometimes have a tightness in my chest and shortness of breath. Also he knows I like to get everything looked after early in the year so that it is not affecting my medical insurance for going south. My first specialist was the cardiologist last week. He updated all my meds because he said all the ones I was on were antiquated. I actually am noticing an increase in energy since the change. When I got back from my appointment, it was my plan to move Percy down to Cj's on to our RV pad which will be his parking place for the summer.
There is Percy, way back in the trees |

Next I had to get all the equipment running that we use for keeping the golf course all spiffed up. The mower, trimmer and blower all fired up and ran good. I always use a little Seafoam in them and it keeps things from gumming up.
I have a young fella coming on Thursday to do all the mowing so all I have to do is make sure everything is in working order. Sue was sporting a new broom today. She hopes it will be faster and more maneuverable!! LOL
Things are a bit chaotic in the shack right now but will all come together quickly once the floor clean is complete.
Archie spent most of the day chasing squirrels and gophers so he was played out by supper time. He has so much fun running around the park but that will come to an end this weekend when campers start moving in.
The local police were doing one of their drive throughs tonight and saw Max and Grace out playing, so they stopped to chat. They let Max sit in the cruiser and play with the lights and sirens and they even let him try on the handcuffs. He was thrilled. Grace was a little more reserved.
We had another great day here in the park and are happy to be back on our summer pad. This is the view out our bedroom window tonight!! Good Nite!!
