We didn't get off to a very early start today. I met with the guys in the shop for coffee at 8 and the stories went on for a couple hours. Dan and Dennis race sprint cars and Dans job is to set the cars up for the track conditions. There is a lot of figuring to do to run the right gear ratio's, tire sizes and softness and they can even move the wheels in and out to shift the center of gravity.
Sue and the girls gave Archie some much needed exercise. He ran and played with Pete!! Pete is such a pretty dog.
About 10 we broke up the chat and hit the road. It was a beautiful morning for a road trip!! Archie just took it all in stride.
First stop was for some fuel at a truck stop that has cheaper fuel. Most diesel is 3.69 around here but this place has it for 3.18. That's about a 35 dollar saving on a tank of diesel. Worth seeking out.
While we were fueling the girls were fixing the bench seat that got off the track. There were lots of instructions being thrown around but in the end I had to fix it for them. lol
It wasn't long and we rolled up on the Fort Randle dam. Sheri even got a picture of the old church ruins. They built a roof over it to try to preserve it.
After about 300 kms of driving, Sue got Sheri behind the wheel to finish out the day. She did a good job for it being her first time driving a Motorhome.
We made it to Bismark North Dakota tonight and will spend most of the day doing some shopping and then we will head on up to Minot so we are close to the border for Monday. We found our trusty old Walmart to park in.
We are about 5 hours from home right now so we can relax a bit. The weather is certainly cooler here than last night and we will need a little heat tonight!! Good Nite!!
