Today we got our power turned back on thank goodness. Only one day until our opening. We will have to hustle. I got to go for coffee with a couple old friends this morning and it was great. I hope I can work a few more coffee times in this summer.
I guess I should clear up all my medical appointments after reading a few of the comments about my post yesterday. Thanks everyone for your concern! My Dr. is very thorough and likes to refer people to specialists if possible. I am glad he is like that because it seems we are winning the battle. The new meds from the cardiologist have seemingly restored my energy level as well as relieved the shortness of breath symptoms I was having. The respiratory assessment only served to confirm that there is nothing wrong with my lungs. Sometimes the meds cause more problems than the disease, and that seems to be the cause of most of my problems!!! And the skin thing is only a precaution because I have that area of sensitive skin around my hat line on my forehead. I keep getting negative results. So for everyone who feels sorry for me.....don't!!!! Dr. says I'm in good shape for the shape I'm in!!! lol He says any 90 year old would be envious of me!!!
We had an appointment with Ryan Jacobson who owns Forbidden Flavours Coffee and he distributes all his own equipment and coffee. He has a Wheat City Blend that is to die for. We also have taken on a slushy machine this year and have Ice Capacino, and Blue Raspberry Slushies!! This is exciting for everyone apparently!!
The girls got really busy doing the rest of the cleaning now that we have lights and can fire things up to heat them up to clean them. I always love how clean everything looks after the spring clean.
And we got to move our ice cream into the freezers in the late afternoon. We now have 24 flavours of Chapmans Hard Ice Cream.
Grace got to show gramma the baby chicks they have at school. Max came along to see them too!!
Today they came to the lake for some ice cream and a ride in the wagon. We took a moment to wave to the camera.
We have a new young gentleman going to work with us this summer and his name is Terren. His task today was to cut the grass in the golf course in hopes that we will get it open for some mini golf on Saturday or Sunday. I don't have his picture because I was not about to post it on here just yet. If he sticks around I'm sure he will be involved in some pictures at some point.
Archie had a hard day chasing squirrels again today and was pooped. He didn't even chew on his bone tonight. I feel kind of the same way after a busy day. Good Nite!!!
Looks like you’re getting everything in shape & good to hear your health is just fine.Enjoy the summer & I really do enjoy your commentary too.All the best.
ReplyDeleteYour shack may not be aptly named! It's too big and nice to be a 'shack' , as we knew them in our younger days! 😉
ReplyDeleteThings are coming along and you are in good shape for the shape you're in! Keep it that way.
Gotta love Chapman's.
Wish you a goooood season! 💕💕
