Thanksgiving Monday

Today was Thanksgiving in Canada.  Every store in North Bay was closed.  It was really eerie walking by Walmart and not seeing a car there. We spent the day at Sues Uncles enjoying the company of family once again.

One of the things I have always wanted to do in North Bay was go on a cruise on the Chief Commanda II.  It has summer dinner cruises, a cruise up the French River and a Manitou island cruise, but in the fall it does a cruise along the north shore of Lake Nipissing looking at the fall colours.  I thought maybe just maybe this would be the year to do it, but no.   They had shut the ship down for the winter just before we got here so that will be one for a future bucket list.  Here are a few pictures of the ship anyway.

    1. We have been enjoying family since we arrived here Ruth. Problem is they all want to feed us gourmet meals. Walking it off won't work any more, I'm going to have to start jogging.

    2. We are having the same problem. Yesterday Kevin and I went for a 5.2km walk and we did it in under one hour (apparently we were walking at a rate of 5.9km/hr) and we had several hills mixed in with the walk so we got a pretty good workout. Now we just need to do more of that!
