NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while
Today H & I were approached to see if we could help with the pool and its solar heating. They have a very primitive system of black pipe coiled and 20 x 20 black solar water panel. The pipes are old and rotten but still circulate water and the panel needed to be put together. Len has been struggling to keep up to the repairs and I think he welcomes some help. It didn't take long to figure out that the biggest problem was the lack of sun. There are a lot of palm type trees with big branches shading the panels. We need the boys to cut them down first and see what difference it makes. The owner of the park has asked us to submit a list of what is needed to make this system work again, knowing that the pipes are aged out and maybe some pump replacement may be needed. We will work on a plan over the next week or so. The pictures show the problem real well!!
I also had one of the best loved jobs in an RVers life to do today. Glad it didn't turn out like this picture. I did once witness a disaster similar to this and for that reason I check all the fittings twice.
The joy of communal showers and pools is the chances of things less desirable transmitting from one person to another. One of the things is warts, so guess who was lucky enough to get one. Yup me!! So off to the Farmacia to get some wart stuff. They have the freeze treatment like a doctor uses so I got one. It took me about an hour to translate the instructions but I finally got it figured out. It has a solution that when sprayed on a Q tip thingy acts just like dry ice. Does it hurt? Yes it hurts but only for like 30 seconds. I guess the idea is to freeze the wart off, kinda like giving it frost bite. Closest thing to winter I have encountered for a long time!! Well we will see if it will work.
The girls went to PV today to shop but they were home in good time because Steve and Julie have invited us for supper. Julie is doing her world famous curry shrimp again. It is so tasty on a bed of rice. Mmmmm Thanks Julie and Steve. Sue was taking pictures and Steve was horsing around with the whip cream and the Baileys!!!
