We Won!!

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

With all of the silly illness that has gone around the park in the last month or so, many of the people that we have associated with have gone into hiding because they just don't feel up to doing much.  The illness makes you feel like you have no energy and so it has been with us and friends Steve and Julie.  They are the people that we came with in the caravan and we got to know and appreciate them early in the season.   But we haven't had much to do with them in the last month.  So Julie says she is now feeling a lot better so we decided to go out for breakfast at a new little restaurant called Jacqueline Suzanne's Bistro, which is located in the Romantic Escapes RV park just down the beach from us.  It is a neat little restaurant and they serve a delicious upscale breakfast.  Today was opening day for them and they were quite busy.  Steve's sister Kathie and her friend Shirley joined us as well.  They will be heading home in a couple days so we toasted their safe travels.  We had the Eggs Benedict which was really delicious and Mimosa to start with.   We enjoyed a nice visit with all of them, but it was so nice to have the bubbly Julie back!!!

Sue, Steve, Julie, Shirley, Kathie, and the Ghost is Me!!

After breakfast we spent some quiet time just doing our thing.  Sue needed a bunch of knives sharpened so I got out the sharpening kit and did them up for her.  Sues dad, Andy, gave this to me for Christmas one year and it has been a good thing to have.  It gets the knives real sharp with minimal effort.  It has 3 different grits of sharpening stones and a neat knife holder so you get the right angle.

Soon it was time for Washer toss.   Guess what?  Julie and Tim won the A side and Nancy and I won the B side.  So we won tons of money!!!  Well a few peso's!!  Its all fun.

A quick stop by Kenia's cake table and off home to enjoy our evening.  We had a great day.  Hope you did too!!

  1. Congrats on the win. Don't spend it all in one place. Neat little knife sharping kit. Hope you still have most of your fingers. Haha

  2. Way to go! Big winners!
The knife kit would be neat to have. Of course, the way I am with knives, Bill would have to be in charge.
those cakes look tantalizing and dangerous!
