A Couple Birthday Celebrations

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

So once again we are celebrating Sues 39th birthday.  We liked it so much last year and the year before that we celebrated it again this year.  

A quiet day with some pool time and then I spent a little time with Kenia getting her new menu's and signs hung up.  She has some new lights that needed to be put up as well.

Then a group of us headed down to Las Koritas for a yummy Birthday supper.  Harold's birthday was yesterday so he and Sue usually celebrate together.  Normand and Suzanne, Karl and Suzie, and Sue and I headed down about 5:45 to meet the rest of the gang.  Its only a short walk to the restaurant.

There we met up with Steve and Julie, Blair and Joanne, and Pat and Harold.  Hail hail the gangs all here.  Quite a gang. 

Sergio is always a gracious host and he drew me aside to show me that he had finally got our name put up on the wall of his restaurant.  He has been doing this for a few years now and we were one of the first group to sign up and pay back in 2019.  We just kinda jogged his memory this year and he jumped all over it and got it done.  Sergio is getting old and forgetful, just like us, but not as old.  Lol  He said he is painting the jeep a brighter yellow so it stands out from the wall colour.

We got Sergio to buy a couple cakes for us so he brought them out and everyone sang Happy Birthday.  3 times actually.  Once in French, Spanish and English!!!  And there was a mini fireworks in each cake.

This was the only picture I got of Harold and his cake.  Sorry bud.  He was actually adjusting his glasses because he couldn't believe that the candle kept relighting!!!  It was one of those trick ones.

We had a fun evening and this is all that was left of the two cakes.  Hope the waitresses enjoy a little taste.  Good Nite!!!
