Stuff You Don't Need to Know

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Everyone one who visits Mexico fears one thing more than anything else.  Montezuma's Revenge!!!  We can all deal with cartels and corrupt cops, but a simple case of diarrhea can render a man useless.  Now let me make it perfectly clear that me or anyone closely related to me are NOT, I repeat NOT suffering from any such affliction.  (But we have in the past!!)  I just was walking down the street and looking at all the signs, and Bingo...It is obvious that everything in related to diarrhea!!! Check out the names!!!  Everything ends in eria!!!

And they all rhyme with diarrhea!!!  We can't escape it!!

Enough of the rambling stuff.  Today I had a mission to find a couple scissor jacks to put under Kenia's Cafecito.  Every market day she has to move it to a friends house while the market is on because someone rents her spot.  The market is really busy and tough to get a spot there so they are at a premium.  So she has to pack up her trailer which involves taking the cement blocks out from the back, which are really heavy.  The hard part is when she brings it back, she has to physically lift the back end to put the blocks back in.  A couple scissor jacks will make it so much easier.  So off to the auto wrecker to try to buy some.  The wrecker wanted 600 pesos for one jack which is ridiculous but he wouldn't budge on the price, so I said Adios Amigo!!  Hmmmmm where to buy them now??  Maybe the market?  There are old tool vendors there so I walked to the very end of the market so I braved the crowd, and sure enough there was a guy there who had about 10 scissor jacks for sale.  Cuanto Es?   200 peso's each!  Sold.

So now Kenia has 2 jacks to make her life easier. I put them in the Cafecito front storage for her to use tonight when she sets up.

I saw this from a friend on Facebook today.  It is for all my school bus driving friends.  Maybe there would be less snow days if we put plows on the school buses, plus the roads would be cleared early in the morning?  Food for thought??

We enjoyed a supper at Las Korita's with our friends Steve and Julie.  They are from the big park and we really enjoy their company.  If you ever are feeling a bit down, a couple minutes with Julie will fix whatever ails you!!!  A quick churro after, and off to bed.  Good Nite!!
