Lots of Things of Not Much Interest!

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

We had some jockeying going on in the park today.  Derek and Kate had to move to another site because their site has been rented to someone.  So they got busy and moved across the way.  Actually they will be more comfortable there because they will have more privacy.  We will miss there family.  They have the cutest kids.

Another couple have moved into site 2.  They are friends with Marie Francis and Jack.  I think there names are Eric and Nancy.  I'm terrible with names.

Then a little later another RV pulled into the empty spot next to us. They got out along with a dog and we didn't even recognize them.  I hate getting old.  It was Drew and Lena and their dog Willie.  They were here last year at the end of the season.  We finally remembered them and felt kinda silly.  Oh well!! Archie remembered Willie right away I think.

We played a little Skipbo this afternoon down at the palapa.  The Greens beat up on the Daoust's 3 games to 0.  Sorry guys.

While we were playing we noticed a con trail that had a funny right hook to it.  I can hear the two pilots as they are flying along.  "Hey Captain, Alaska is over here on the right!! Quick turn here!!"  LOL

And as usual the sun went down and it was just as pretty as usual.  Only difference was the horse that went by on the beach.

We wandered downtown with Karl and Suzie after supper to do some exploring.  We saw a neat things and here are a couple.  The first one is to cook a roast or a ham upright.  You put it on the big spike and it spins in front of a ceramic heat source while there is heat underneath as well.  They use it to make fresh taco's down the road.

Also we saw some turtles in a tank at the front of the store.  I'm not sure if they were for sale or what one might do with them if they were?

Last thing was the deal of the evening.  You could own this mannequin for 900 pesos!!  Don't ask me what for but I'm sure someone will buy her.  Maybe I will see if she is still there tomorrow!

Someone said we had a pretty little sitting area.  We don't use it after dark that much but it does look kinda nice maybe!!!  Good Nite!!

  2. At the resort we were at this winter, they cooked whole pineapple on a spike just like that. They carved off pieces and it was delicious!!
The sunset keeps moving along that island. Your winter vacation is ticking along!!
