Sand Sculptures on the Beach

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Today we headed to Guaybitos with Karl and Suzie from our park.  Our objective was to find the sand sculptures that they were making today on the beach.  The beach at Guayabitos is always crowded and touristy but we were ready to face the crowds and pay the inflated prices.  We headed out about 12:30 and found a spot to park near the beach.

There are lots of vendors on the beach to capture the most tourist dollars that they can.  Its all good food but highly overpriced.

We finally found the sand sculptures and there were only a few so far.  Apparently they will be working all afternoon so they make many more.

I love watching the White Snowy Egret as it looks for minnows along the ocean edge.  The intensity in its eyes is intriguing.

As with any tour, lunch is involved.  Carol and Oscar joined Karl and Suzie and Sue and I at Roberto's for lunch.  We had a fantastic lunch but it was pricy.  By the time we were done paying for 4 of us it was 1000 pesos.  That is about 72 bucks Cnd.  Remember that number when you read tomorrow's blog and I will compare to what we pay in the truly Mexican non tourist town.   We headed home after that and put our feet up.  Good Nite!
