Just to clarify that I am not in La Penita at the moment, but Susan and RRV are there so that's why I didn't change the heading above. I am actually in Brandon, Manitoba for a few days to activate my travel insurance while I travel with RRV back through the USA. The USA is not a great place for anyone without travel insurance to get ill because the costs can be astronomical. With some of my medical history, it is way cheaper for me to get a flight home and return to Mexico with my 60 day Blue Cross travel plan reactivated. When I fly back to Mexico, I will have until May 13 to make it back to Canadian soil while covered by Blue Cross. (It has nothing to do with Trump!!!).
Anyway, today I have numerous chores to complete so I was up and away before 8 this morning. As I was driving east in the city to get to A&W for breakfast I saw what I first thought was something on fire. After a few seconds I realized that is was the sun rising. I very rarely see a sunrise, so was a little taken aback!! Sunrise back in Manitoba is much later than in Mexico right now so about 8 am it comes over the horizon as opposed to 7 am in Mexico. Very nice sight.
I did a bit of travelling today going to my meetings. The roads were good today but there is still a lot of snow in the ditches.
Today I stopped and checked our Manitoba Housing project in Rivers with my main man, Randy. All seems to be well there.
I took a quick trip down to CJ's to make sure it was doing fine. There is a lot of snow around it yet so there is no real hurry for us to get back there. There was some evidence of a squirrel having fun inside but it was minimal so I am not worried.

After my pedicure, I picked up Sheri and we travelled to Reston to see Nikki and the kids. They were doing lots of things tonight so it worked out best for us to arrive a little later in the evening. We had fun with everyone and the kids entertained me playing Mario Kart. Derek loved playing Mario Kart with them and they have carried on with it. Silas is sort of the winner most times.
Emma worked in a selfie with gramps of course. We headed home about 8 pm. Good Nite!!
