WHERE ARE WE? Numero Uno RV Park, La Penita, Mexico
Had to go get drinking water again today. This will be the last time before we all go home. Sue and I don't use much bottled water here, because the water here is actually ok to drink in tea and coffee as long as it is boiled. Really we use it for toothbrushing and dishes and cooking as well. Apparently the new water plant they have now, will supply a better supply of water to us all.

I need one of these for my wood deliveries |
Sue was feeling under the weather so when Kenia invited us to lunch, I had to fill in by myself. I walked downtown by way of the stinky bridge. There is lots of green stuff floating around. Although it looks bad, it is plant life and the turtles eat it I'm sure. There is a little bit of new construction going on by the stinky bridge and it is being done the old fashioned way. With a bucket and shovels.

No Crocodile today |

We went to El Toro for lunch and Kenia and Katherine met us there. Katherine is growing real fast and is getting to be a handful for Kenia. Katherine is here for the weekend. We had a nice fish and shrimp dinner with them.

Although I have sworn that I will not attend any more parades here because they drag out for so long and often start late and go late, I have decided to attend the one tonight. It is the spring parade and is all school kids. Rather cute. So I headed downtown about 6:30 because the parade was supposed to start at 5:30!! LOL There was nothing going on yet.
About 6:45 here is came down the street. Lots of loud music and kids all dressed up. I was glad I came as it is neat to watch all the enthusiasm of the kids.

There is one thing about the kids parade that is cute. Because it is all young kids, all of the moms and dads crowd around the float as it passes down the street, trying to get that ultimate video or picture. And then the grandparents join in as well to the point where a bystander like me can not even see the float. They are all so darn proud of their kids, and the kids are tickled pink to have mom close by watching their every move.
After the parade was over, everyone went down to the plaza for a celebration. They had a stage with lots of music and dancing for the kids. There were street vendors selling everything imaginable and some bouncy stuff set up for the wee ones. The Mexican people love to celebrate and that is what they were doing tonight. I went and saw Kenia and then headed for home. That was enough for one day.

The Dancing Horses were in town tonight as well |
I did manage to catch sunset at the La Penita sign tonight as I walked downtown. Good Nite!!
