I didn't even know it was St.Patricks Day until late afternoon. Hope everyone had a great one.
More importantly it is Benito Juarez' Birthday. It is celebrated every year in Mexico on the third Monday of March. Benito was one of the most respected leaders of Mexico, a liberalist and a reformist. His birthday is celebrated for his contribution towards establishing the base for modern Mexico. So to all my Mexican Amigos, Feliz dia de Benito Juarez.
With all the holiday celebrations, I'm sure the beaches of Guayabitos will be packed. Not so much so here in La Penita. There will be a few people this afternoon, but not many. Archie and I checked out the deserted beach this morning.
Now that Ron and Lillies trailer has been moved, we decided to move RRV back one spot. This is where we want it to be next year. We felt that us being way up front was a little intrusive on the beach area of the property. Without us there, maybe we can set up some corn hole or horse shoes or something in that spot. Also we are a little farther back from the palapa and the ground is much leveller where we are now. So I got busy to pull in the slides and when I did, there was this grinding sound and the one slide motor died. So I checked the controller in one of the bays and it said there was a short in the cable leading to motor 1. So out with Mr. YouTube to find out where the wire runs and where the slide motor is. Ours is right in the wall of RRV so I had to take some rubber seals off to find it. And there was the problem!!! When I mounted our outside patio lights, I backed off a couple screws to hang them on and I never screwed them back in before bringing the slide in. Well one of the screws was exactly in line with the wires on top of the motor and it must have cut into one of the wires and shorted it out. My bad!!! I will save that fix for another day because we still wanted to get moved today. So we decided to move without retracting the slide this time.
So we just backed up about 30 feet and we were in our new spot. We think it looks so much better here. We had lots of help moving stuff and it didn't take long to do.
And just like that our day was over. We all gathered for sunset again and it didn't disappoint. Good Nite!!
As long as you are happy, we are happy! 🤗
