WHERE ARE WE? Numero Uno RV Park, La Penita, Mexico
The tides are rising once again, and the waves are getting stronger. This is where Archie and I normally go for a walk but not today. Also if you remember our injured bird, it was sitting along here yesterday. No sign of him today so I can only assume he got washed out to sea.
One of our first stops was Fortuna de Vallejo. A sleepy little town with not a lot going on today. We stopped at the plaza to check it out. Seems nothing has happened in the plaza since Christmas because all the decorations were still up.
I am always drawn to cemeteries. They seem like such quiet places for a little time of reflection. The Mexican ones are quite elaborate of course.
We were checking out this termite nest when we figured out that they make little roads up the trees to the nest.
The brown lines are actually termite mud and droppings we think. Very interesting!!

We stopped for coffee and cinnamon buns in Bucerias. Expensive but really good.
Our trip today was 143 kms long but it took us a little over 6 hours to complete. Lots of it was slow going and there were lots of stops to check things out. We had a fun day.
Home in time for sunset on the beach with our friends. We are enjoying our time with everyone before they all head off to their northern summers. There was a big yacht floated by us as we waited for the sun to go down. It was about 150 in length. Must be nice to have the money for one of them. Come to think of it, no, I would rather be where I am right now.

That was our day. We haven't gone on many adventures this winter so we enjoyed this one. Good Nite!

Love that you’re happy right where you are, no yacht needed.
