Archie has finally decided to be a Mexican dog. He had found a ledge along the beach way up high where he can look down on the beach and bark at passers by. He is like the King of the Castle up there!!!
I was asked a while ago to include the weather in my blogs but with it being basically the same every day, it gets old real fast. Maybe once we hit the road again I will do it, but for now here is the weather for the next few days!! See what I mean about it being the same??
I had to head downtown after lunch to pick up our Remitly from the Coppel this afternoon. We have found Remitly to be a reliable way to get money with minimal charges to use the service. We got out 16548 pesos this time which is about $1200 bucks Cnd for a $2.99 Cnd fee. To get that much from an ATM where we are only allowed 5000 pesos per transaction could cost between $5 and $20 depending on the ATM. Also there is no danger of your card getting eaten because no card is used for the transaction, and the bank in Coppel is a clean modern area which is super safe. You get this notification when your money is ready for pickup. The only catch is if the bank doesn't have enough cash on hand you might have to wait for the armored car to deliver more. They give good instructions so that even a dummy like me can pick up the money. Susan actually set up the transaction but it allows for me to pick up the money.
I also had a list to pick up at the fruiteria. This list came to 594 pesos which is about $42 Cnd. The 1/2 & 1/2 was about 130 pesos alone. Food prices are not a lot different here than back home. If you buy from the fresh market and butcher shop you can get better deals of course but I didn't today. There was no meat on the list.

Today I had a memory come up on my phone from the past. It made me think about Candice, Louis and Fred. Wonderful people who we haven't seen in a while. Hope all is well with them. They have a house in Guayabitos but haven't been here for a while because of work responsibilities. We miss them.
Later in the afternoon the crew gathered for the sunset view. We sure enjoy the palapa to sit around. It has turned into a real gathering place. And another pretty sunset tonight. Good Nite!!
Just lovely!
