Kind of a sad walk with Archie this morning. We had the beach pretty much to ourselves and then we came across a frigate with a broken wing. The wing is basically disconnected at the center point so there is no hope for this guy. I didn't have anything to put him out of his misery. Actually he doesn't seem in much pain because it is just holding on by some skin. It is sad that animals sometimes just have to wait to die when they get injured. The dogs are not bothering him at all. This is one time when I wish they would.
Ken and I are doing a little project for Jen in the Garden Suite. She had a new sink put in and they jammed it in the corner, so she asked us to move it out away from the corner. Because they cut into the side of the sink, we had to completely dismantle it and rebuild it with everything on the other side. It will require a shelf unit in the corner to cover the pipes but there is no storage in here for any toiletries so that would be a good place for them. Any way when I went to hook up the sink, I found that the contractor had broken the sink bib and jus put some silicone on it. Well when I reinstalled it after moving the sink, of course the silicon did not make a good fix and it leaked. So I will have to get a new fitting when I go down town.
And Jen asked us to remount the TV because it was way too high on the wall. This is close to where it will be. Just up a bit even with the top window ledge. We have to get a concrete bit and wall anchors to complete this job, so that means a stop downtown as well.
So in the afternoon I headed downtown to the Ferriteria to get the supplies for our projects. They are good people there and have most everything we need for normal home repairs.
Then a quick stop at Hinde and Jamies for a couple of their famous fish taco's. That always hits the spot.
On the way home I passed by another construction project on the stinky bridge street. This one is all manual labour and it looks like hard work.
And that my friends is all we did today. Good Nite!!!
Those are really good fish tacos!!
