Chacala Beach Day

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

Today Sue and I were still a bit under the weather but Kaitlyn was just about back to normal.  The kids never did get sick so that was good.  We both figured we could handle just chilling on the beach so we headed over to Chacala.  They have a lovely beach there that is kid friendly.   We set up on the beach in a spot that wasn't very crowded and just took it easy for the day.

Not much action on the beach at all.  Even the banana boat rides were slow.  It was a little overcast today which is perfect for a nap so thats what Max and I did.

Gramma spent some time with Grace romping in what waves there were.   She is still a little afraid of the power of the ocean and that is maybe a good thing.  She still had a good time as long as gramma was close by.

If you notice the catamaran out in the water, it is a big one.  Someone is having some fun on the water with it. We have often wondered what boat life would be like but there would be too much to learn and I think the work load would be a bit much for me.   I watch some blogs of people that have boats and sail around and it is a really interesting lifestyle.  Our friends Kim and Shawn Hall who we met at a Bloggerfest a couple years ago traded their RV life for a sailboat and are having a lot of fun sailing the coasts of Florida.  They write an interesting blog called Shifting Gears.  Have a look sometime.   For now we are content with what we are doing.  Hope you are too!!

  1. I have ZERO interest in owning a boat. I am always reminded of that boating saying "... a boat is a hole in the water into which you throw money."

  2. My dream would be to live on a boat, with a crew to run it, a maid and a chef. Okay, my dream would be to live on a yacht! Might as well dream big, lol

  3. We have friends who have spent three years sailing around the world on a catamaran and loved it, they only stopped because their son, who was born while they were sailing, started to walk ... and then life gets scary on a boat:-) Spending the day on a beach sounds like a good day to me!

  4. That would be interesting to watch the little guy learning to walk on a bobbing boat. I would suggest they should teach him to swim first lol.
