NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while
Today was haircut day for me. We have a beautiful barbershop setting here in the park and a lady comes in to cut hair. 70 peso's is the going rate and she does a good job. No I am not going to show you pictures of my haircut!!! lol
After the haircut we went down to the beach for some ocean time. The ocean was angry today so we just sat on the beach and watched. Watching the waves is much like watching a bonfire. After a while you get memorized by what you see and you start to see other things as well. Like the turtle we saw coming out of the sand, and the sea lion basking on the beach. Do you see them? If you don't then you need more beach time!!
After the beach we went downtown to do some grocery shopping. You really have to try hard to get over 25 bucks worth of groceries. While Sue was shopping I went and got a treat from a street vendor. It was one of those corn thingies. We had one before and it was good, but this one was really salty and not nearly as good. And the corn down here is tasteless so it needs lots of stuff added for flavour. That is probably the last one of them for me for a while!!!
All in all it was a grand day. The stress level was minimal and the sun shone in our favour. This was my view for quite a while this afternoon. Hope you got some down time as well.
A corn thingy? I don't believe I've ever seen that on a menu. I thought one of the rules of hair cutting was to show photos. I recall you mentioned that to me before. Haha. Glad you are enjoying stress free days.
ReplyDeleteYes a corny thing, they do exist!!!
DeleteThat's a great deal on the haircut! To bad your "corn thingy" wasn't any good :-(
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite anymore.
DeleteI do agree about the taste of corn in Mexico. I've learned to ask for white tacos in Algodones, the corn ones are disgusting to me!
ReplyDeleteHaircut? No pics? What's got into you??? It IS a rule!
Ok Ok I will see about a picture!!
