A Little Reminder of Home

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Sometimes I have to post some things as a reality check to myself as to why Sue and I are enduring the weather here in Mexico.  There are reasons we drive 5000 miles one way to Mexico, and I think this is one of the reasons!!  Although I love snow and lots of it, I don't miss it one wee little bit.  Our friends Jennifer, Crash, and Nova provided a little reminder of home this morning on their FB page.  We see them often in the summer at the park walking, but they are committed enough to walk even in the snow and cold they have back home this winter.  Good on you.  I hope they don't mind me using the picture!!!  I like how they positioned the name on the water tower!

Today was one of my body's catch-up days.  It seems I can go quite a while without taking afternoon naps while trying to keep fairly active, but it catches up to me and I sometimes go down hard and have to regenerate.  Today was one of those days and I went for a "nap" at 11:30 am and woke up at 4 pm!!!  So, nothing much else happened around here this afternoon except for a wee swim to wake me up.  It does sound bad when one of the first noteworthy events of the day is sunset!!!

I did take a quick walk downtown in the evening to see what was going on. They had a trampoline set up for the kids on one of the streets near the plaza, and some extra vendors are moving in.  They are getting in the mood for festival later this week and weekend.  A little bit of exercise and off to bed for the real sleep.  Hope you had a great day.

    1. We had that reminder last year and I'm thinking something absolutely dramatic would have to happen to make me go through a winter in Canada again.
