WHERE ARE WE? Emma Lake, Saskatchewan
We got up this morning to the wind howling from the Northwest. Yes we are travelling north today!! It is also cold and rainy, so not a pleasant day at all. We were going to stop and say hi to Dani in Regina Beach but she was not responding to our messages. She is a teenager and sleep is the most important thing right now. So we carried on on highway 11 toward Saskatoon. There was a weigh scale along the highway that was closed, so we stopped at it to weigh our rig. I am posting the weights so I can look back on them later. Some might be interested but if it means nothing to you, just scroll down. lol

So we battled the wind all day heading north and they tell me that gusts were up to 80 kms per hr. We stayed on #11 highway because it is 4 lane so there is more room for the wind to move us around without going in the ditch. Prince Albert came and went and we still had to drive about and hour north.
We ran into some s--w a little farther north. The temps are about 3C so it is nasty.
We got to Ken and Rhonda's about 4pm and will be staying for a couple days to visit. We met them in Mexico last year and have some things in common so we struck up a friendship which will continue here for a couple days, and then for 3 months or so in Mexico. They have a lovely cabin here on Emma lake.
This was our travels today. Good night!

Nice to see you moving again for a bit AND to see you blogging. 😊
ReplyDeleteWow, you're up in our old neck of the woods. In 2013 we managed Sturgeon Lake Regional Park very close to Emma Lake.
