Max and Grace Arrive

WHERE ARE WE? Numero UNO RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

This morning I got the Jeep all ready to pick up the troops from the airport in PV.  I had to dig out the booster seats and get them in the back seat.  I was going to head in about 12 to rescue Sue and Max and Grace from their flight from Winnipeg.

Sue and the kids had to get started a little earlier to get on their 9:30 flight.  They were all boarded and settled early actually and the flight tracker predicted they would be in PV earlier than scheduled.

So I headed in to PV with lots of time to spare and the trip through the mountains was faster than I had ever made it before.  Very light truck traffic, which normally slows everyone down.  But when I hit Bucerius, things changed.  It was stop and go traffic all the way to the airport.  A trip that is normally 1/2 hour long, took almost 2 hours.  Good thing I left early, because their plane actually landed before I arrived in the parking lot.

The airport was not bad when I arrived inside but it was a long wait for them to get through customs.  There were quite a few planes landed just right before them so they ended up in the back of the line.

We grabbed a quick sandwich at Subway and then loaded up and headed for home.  The kids love to ride in the Jeep with the wind blowing through their hair.  They were amazed how warm it was here.

We got home just after the sun had set tonight.

Both kids wanted to go see the ocean before bed, so we went out in their jammies and got our feet wet.  Well a little more than our feet got wet because a rogue wave snuck up on us and knocked Max over and soaked Grace and I.  They laughed and laughed and thought that was just great.

We got them all dried off and away they went to bed.  It was a long day for them and they were as good as gold all day.  Sue said they were a big help by staying organized in the airport and on the flight.  Welcome to Mexico guys and Good Nite
