Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita, Mexico

Christmas 2021.  In all this mess we have allowed to happen in our world, we are so blessed that today we celebrate the birth of a baby who was sent by God to be our Saviour.  If you are a believer, you will be more aware of the prophecies of the bible concerning the end times than ever before and realize the need for a Saviour.  These prophecies are literally coming to be, right in front of our eyes.  As a believer we should be more thankful than ever for the birth of Jesus that we celebrate today.  Today we wish our fellow man a Merry Christmas, no matter whether their beliefs align with ours or not.  Merry Christmas to All!!!

Our Christmas was brightened by our kids and grandchildren today.  Although we love our travels, one of the tough parts is being away from our family on these special family occasions.  Technology has certainly helped bring them to us in the form of Facetime and Facebook itself.  First ones up and opening gifts were our daughter Kaitlyn and hubby Greg and Grace and Max.  The wonderment of Christmas is evident in the kids eyes as they open their gifts.  Kaitlyn and Greg make sure that the kids are well aware of who the gift is from and that thank you's are given appropriately.

Next up was our daughter Sheri and Jeremy and Dani.  We got to spend some time with them on facetime checking out the new gifts.  I'm sure Dani will make some neat stuff for Grampa on her new Cricut!!

We managed to touch base with Sheri's son (our Grandson) Donovan who is in Alberta at his other gramma and grampas. Donovan is a Boston Bruins fan so we got him some sweats!!

We are going to Facetime our son Derek and Nicki and Abby, Silas, Emma, and Lincoln tomorrow.  They posted some neat photos of the family as well a matching PJ's picture.

Our daughter Karalee works some weird shifts, so we didn't talk to her until evening.  She has promised me some pictures later so I will put them on my post then.

And our chosen daughter here in Mexico, Kenia and her boyfriend Josie were all dressed up for Christmas Eve. Tradition here in Mexico puts more emphasis on Christmas Eve than on Christmas day.  They have big family celebrations and meals on Christmas Eve.

We love each and every one of our family and thank them for taking the time to include us in this special time of year.  We wish the best for all of them in the New Year.

We swam a little, sat on the beach a little and welcomed our friends from 2019 back to the park.  Normand and Suzanne pulled in today and will be here until mid-March.  We enjoyed our time with them back then and I'm sure we will enjoy our time with them this year.

We had a special Christmas supper with Pat and Harold on the beach.  We had perogies, cabbage rolls, salad and Roast Beast and gravy.  It was a different Christmas meal but was it ever yummy!!!  We couldn't have chosen better people to share it with which made it even better.

To all our friends and family, Sue and I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas Season.  Goodnight.

  4. Well, I have to agree with everyone above. Sometimes we all tend to 'misplace' the real reason for Christmas and our blessings.
    Merry Christmas!
