Well today was that day of the week that I dislike the most. It was out of bed at 6 am to get to the shack to meet the supply truck. The driver is Tim who is very good at what he does. All of us get up just to see him more than anything. Sheri comes to help on supply mornings and she makes Eggers and coffee for Tim and his helper. Then we get to work putting away a pallet of supplies. That will last us a week.
Sue had an appointment for an MRI in Brandon today so after we got done in the shack we headed in to the city. We had Max today so he and I hung around the hospital while Sue got all fixed up. It was a little boring for the wee guy just sitting around, and we got a little hungry so we got on the elevator and went to the cafeteria in the basement of the hospital. They had pizza and sandwiches and a really good soup and he added a chocolate milk and the tab was only $10!! Wow, it is neat to get a meal for that price anymore.
Then we headed home again with a new counter top for the sink. We have looked into a new stainless sink which would cost $1500.00 plus we would need new taps because the new sink would only use wall mount taps and they are about $800.00. I know a new stainless sink would look great but hey, a new countertop was only $170.00. So I had to get the old sinks out and the new countertop in place.
That's as far as I got today and will have to finish tomorrow. Rome wasn't built in a day folks, but I wasn't the foreman either!!! Spent the evening relaxing and the sunset signaled the end of a great day.
I hate those MRIs. Gave me a headache for a week. I hope Sue is well.
