What to do on a Rainy Day

WHERE ARE WE? Rivers Provincial Park, Rivers Manitoba

Well I think we came back from Mexico about 3 weeks too soon.  Winter in Manitoba just won't give up.  When we woke up, the day was miserable with steady rain.  I took a little drive around the camp ground and the view across the lake was pretty rough.

A pair of Canada Geese were out for a swim.  They love this kind of weather.  A little further along and there was a whole family of geese.  I guess the hatch has happened.  It will be fun to watch them grow.

We had to head to Brandon for supplies today.  At least it gave us something to do in this weather.  First stop was Princess Auto.  They had a good deal on an electric chainsaw.  It was actually on sale for $50 off the sticker price.  Sold!

Then off to Canadian Tire for some wood totes.  They had all the isles near the garden center jammed with flowers.  Its cold enough outside that they would probably not survive.

Then to Superstore for lots of supplies for the shack.  It looked like winter in the parking lot. A bunch of pop, water, potatoes and Canola oil made for a jam packed Jeep.

Then back home to unload.  And the snow is getting heavier all the time.

We got all unloaded and turned the lights on because we open at 4. It's tough to sell ice cream in a snowstorm!!!  We had a few die hards no matter what!!

That was about it for our day.  This was the best I could do for a sunset.  It is somewhere out there.   Good Nite!!
