And Then There Were None

WHERE ARE WE?           Magnolia Beach, Texas till tomorrow
NEXT DESTINATION?     Kickapoo Casino, North Falcon Heights, Texas maybe

Today was Micheal and Sandra's day to leave.  We have enjoyed their company for the last few days and had some nice bonfires with them.   They have done a lot of things in their lives and we love hearing all about them.  They love the nomadic lifestyle and just keep on having adventures.  We wish them safe travels and good scenery.  They are heading east and want to keep camping on the beach as much as possible.

Another day of watching some ships go in and out of Point Comfort.  It just never gets old for a country boy like me.

Sue and I took another drive this morning to see if we could see the alligator but no luck.  I did get a picture of the camel stature.  Like I said a few days ago, this is one of the areas where they experimented with camels back in the 1800's.

Theresa and Sue stopped by with Champ and Jax, and took my Sue and Charlie for a walk down the beach.  When they got back and were standing chatting, Randy pulled up on the scooter so we all sat and had a little chat.  Goodbye hugs were in order because tomorrow is the day we must leave to start our trek north.  We will be going a little west first to stay in the heat as long as we can before heading up into the mountains of Colorado.  Our trip should be very scenic we hope.

Sue got the top of the table all stained and it looks really good.  She is not quite sure what she will do with the legs yet so stay tuned for updates.  I love the little wooden lawn chairs she has sitting on it, and her sailboat painting is one of my favorites.

We went to town this evening for a while and when we got back, I hooked up the Jeep all ready to leave in the morning.  We are a little sad that our time here has come to an end.

The view out our window today shows the empty beach as Micheal and Sandra leave.  This beach was quite full when we arrived a couple weeks ago.

  1. Always sad when you have to head for Home but once you get there you wonder why did you wait so long.
The big storms are brewing to the middle and eastern states. You should have a clear line with your route.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.
