Grey Cup in Mexico

WHERE ARE WE? La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico
NEXT DESTINATION? We are here for a while

Another day in Mexico has been successfully put in the history books.  Today we saw a little bit of football history made as well.  Although I am not an avid football fan, I must say that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are my team if there is cheering going on.  Today was Grey Cup Day from Calgary with the Blue Bombers facing the Hamilton Tiger Cats for the cup.  Winnipeg has not won the Grey Cup in 29 years and Hamilton has been 20 years.  Big game for both teams!!   Winnipeg definitely came to win and win they did.  Good for them.

Susan did a little more Christmas decorating today and I thought it was quite funny to see her eating watermelon in her shorts while decorating the Christmas tree.

Today was hamburger day again.  I don't want to bore you with this function, but today Sue and I volunteered to help.  Sue took the money and I cooked.  She was busy taking money and a little girl who had baked cookies was busy selling her some cookies.  MMM good cookies.

I spent my time on the grill cooking hamburgers, chirizos, and perros calientes.  We had about 50 people tonight which wasn't a lot really.  I was busy enough that I forgot to get a picture with the grill full.

Cecie and the girls kept everything running smooth and do a wonderful job serving.

Cecie in white.  What a great lady.
Jolynn and Renie kept everyone hydrated at the bar.

Joe and Judy kept the tunes flowing on into the night.  No Mexican young people here to dance in the pool tonight though.

And of course our smiling Kenya was there with her special desserts.  They are amazing.

After we finished cooking hamburgers, I headed over to Steve and Julies to watch the last quarter of the football game.  There was good representation from both sides of Canada there so the crowd was a wee bit cocky at times.  All in good fun.  Thanks for setting the outdoor viewing area up for our enjoyment Steve and Julie.

Our Charlie has been having some issues with his feet swelling lately.  We have given him some antibiotics and they seem to work well for him.  Here is a couple pictures of him feeling better today.  Hope your day was as good as his.
