Our First Day in Paradise!! Hot Hot Hot!!

WHERE ARE WE?          La Penita RV Park, La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico

NEXT DESTINATION?    We are here for 3 months

We just relaxed today and checked out the park.  The swimming pool will be the highlight for a few days because it will take us a while to get used to the sun and heat every day.  Sorry to my northern folks who are about to endure another winter, but for the first couple weeks it will be like what you endure when you come to Mexico for your annual vacation.  We will be red for a while before the tan sets in and we will be sweaty and hot because this park does not have sufficient power for AC.   But we will be living in Mexico for the next 3 months and that is something not a lot of people can boast.  We are thankful for the opportunity to be here.  Here is some scenery from the palapa where we can sit.  It is up on a hill about 100 feet above the ocean below.

And what do you see in this picture??  Yup its a spider.. An Orb Weaver Spider!!  He was about half the size of your hand.  They are good spiders and get rid of a lot of other insects.  I wasn't going to get too close at first until I knew what it was.  Like I said before, we are in the jungle.

Looking down from the palapa you can see a couple of our new friends patios which have the same view.  They are lucky to have those sites because not all have an ocean view like that.  Us newbies will be up back with no ocean view.

After a day of relaxing I headed over to Steve and Julies place for Happy Hour.  Brian and Jolynn were there and we had a nice hour there.  Thanks for your friendship guys and gals!!

One thing about this heat, everyone is ready for bed nice and early.  No picture tonight cause my eyelids are closed.  Good night.

Enjoy the heat and you can do that if you near pools and oceans quite easily! :)

  4. Wow! I haven't been keeping up with blogs lately and you've sneaked off to Mexico for the winter. Looks like you're all set for a beautiful winter. Yuma is as close to Mexico as I'll get.
