An Ocean Drive

We headed out to check out the ocean today.  We haven't been there yet this trip and we love to hear the surf crashing on the beach.  So we headed to Vero Beach which is directly east of us about 45 minutes.  Looks like its going to be a great day.

Wasn't long and we were throwing the shoes in the back of the Jeep and we were heading down the beach in our bare feet.  For Sue and I there is no better feeling.  Today was quite windy and the ocean was angry.  It was kicking up lots of sea spray and salt and we were covered in salt by the end of the day.  The dog loved licking our legs at the end of the day because they were salty.

We drove up the coast to Melbourne and stopped for supper at a quaint little bar and grill for supper.  It was called Bikini Beach, but there were no bikini's.  But the meal was good.  We were completely played out by the time we got home tonight but went to sleep with a smile on our faces.

Here was the view out our window tonight.  Not often we have one like this.  Love it.
