Friends Return

Last evening we were hanging around the circle and we noticed a 5er pull in across the way.  It was Janice back from the Everglades.  She had left us a week or so ago to head south and see what was there.  We had thought about going there for a while but she said it wasn't that great.  Where they had been was about 40 miles from town and there was nothing out there.  So she came back, I think it was mostly cause she missed us. Ha Ha.   Welcome back Janice.

Harold and I had a few projects to complete today.  I had a couple of pieces of wood to put around my batteries from Friday's project, and I had to cut up a bunch of Charlies pills.  It is a tedious job cutting those little round pills in 4 pieces.  I have a pill splitter but I still have better luck using the box cutter style knife.  Yes Charlie is on Prednisone!  And yes we know the side effects.  Long story.

The other project was to install the awning de flappers that we bought the other day at Camping World.   We have our awning tied down so we don't roll it up.  The de flappers just help if a gust of wind comes out of no where.

Harold's project was to get his trickle charge from the solar panels to charge his chassis batteries after they are finished charging the house batteries.  They changed the wire and now need to wait for good sun to see if it works.

Just about that time we saw a fancy Class C drive by and guess what?  Our friend Laura is back from Cape Canaveral!!  I could tell it was her rig by the pretty motorcycle on the back.   Welcome back Laura!!

Once again we all gathered for a chin wag.  There were about 5 different conversations going on tonight for some reason, but I looked over and could see that John and Brian were obviously talking to each other on their phones!!  Or maybe they were talking to Alexa!!  They both just received new Alexa's from Amazon.

John headed for his MH for something and very shortly he came back all excited.  A spider, and a good sized one at that, had spun a web in the hour or so he had been at our place, and it was right outside his door.  The web was probably 6 feet in diameter and the spider was right in the middle.  The spider was actually grey but shows up here white.  He was about the size of a silver dollar.

Here was the view from our front window tonight.

  7. And it was great coming back to visit you all! Thank you for the welcome back. :-)
I had so much fun on Merritt Island. I got to visit Kennedy Space Center for the first time, had to go back a second time and I still haven't seen it all! I got to ride my motorcycle down A1A and back up and over to Canaveral. So much to see! And the Moose Lodge on Merritt Island is a great place to stay while you're visiting. 8.8 miles from Kennedy Space Center! Woohoo! This old girl was having a ball!
But, even so, it's always good to get back to visit friends around the campfire. :-)

  10. Woohoo! Check it out, and nothing even had to be done to my rig. It had the power all the time! LOL!
I can actually add water to my fresh tank from an external container like a bucket or a bladder, without outside pressure, just using the water pump on board. How cool is that!
Thank you again for helping me figure this out and for the water to test it, Lorne, that was great! I love this kind of stuff!
